Pump & Motor Repair FAQs
How long does commercial pool pump replacement take?
Most motor and pump replacements are completed in one visit, usually two to four hours. Three-phase motors and specialty pumps may need a day for parts.
How do I know the pump is undersized for a commercial pool?
If the flow meter cannot reach the gallons per minute required for a six-hour turnover (30 minutes for spas), the pump is undersized or restricted. We check this on every service visit.
Should our HOA switch to a variable speed pump?
On most pools, yes. Variable speed pumps cut pump energy 50 to 70 percent and NV Energy has offered rebates. We size the pump to the required turnover and handle the paperwork.
