Gator Pools repairs and installs commercial pool and spa heaters for HOA, apartment, hotel, and public pools in Las Vegas and Pahrump. Commercial heater installations in Nevada must meet state and local code, including automatic shutoff devices, proper venting and clearances, and the fire department and insurance carrier requirements that apply to gas appliances on commercial property. Our installations are done by a Nevada State Contractors Board licensed contractor and documented for your insurance file.

Heater Repair & Installation FAQs

What does Nevada require for a commercial pool heater installation?

A licensed contractor, proper venting and clearances per the manufacturer and mechanical code, gas piping to code, bonding, and automatic shutoff and safety devices. Many insurance carriers and local fire departments inspect commercial heater installations. Gator Pools handles the install and the inspection coordination.

Why does my HOA's insurance company care about the pool heater?

A gas appliance on commercial property is a fire and liability exposure. Carriers often require code-compliant installation and may inspect. We can walk the equipment with your insurance inspector.

When should an HOA turn the pool heater on?

Most Las Vegas HOAs heat from October or November through April on board-approved dates. We turn heaters on and off and hold the board-approved temperature as part of the maintenance contract.

Can you repair our heater or does it need replacement?

Ignition, pressure switch, and gas valve problems are usually repairable. Cracked exchangers, corroded headers, and heaters past 12 to 15 years are typically replaced. We tell you which in writing.
