Commercial Pool Filter Repair, Cleaning, and Replacement in Las Vegas

Gator Pools services sand, cartridge, and DE filters on commercial pools across Las Vegas and Pahrump. Routine maintenance covers pressure monitoring and backwashing; when backwashing no longer restores flow, we tear the filter down, clean or replace media, repair laterals, grids, and manifolds, and replace tanks that have failed. Filter work outside the maintenance agreement is quoted separately, the way HOA RFPs ask for it.

How it works

Filter Repair & Replacement FAQs

How often should a commercial pool filter be cleaned?

Backwash whenever pressure rises 8 to 10 psi over clean baseline. Sand filters typically need a teardown and media check every 3 to 5 years; DE grids and cartridges annually or when flow cannot be restored. Las Vegas dust and calcium shorten those intervals.

Is filter cleaning included in the maintenance contract?

Backwashing is. Teardown cleaning and media replacement are quoted separately so boards can see the cost, which matches how most Las Vegas HOA RFPs are written.

Can you replace a DE filter with a sand filter?

Yes. We evaluate turnover, water clarity, and maintenance cost and recommend the filter type that fits the pool and the budget.
